SAN DIEGO, CA – Karl Strauss, San Diego’s longest continuously operating post-Prohibition brewing company, will release Follow the Sun Lager as a new core beer on Thursday. The 4.2% ABV brew will be available in six packs of 12oz cans in addition to draft at all nine KARL locations throughout Southern California. Standing beside KARL’s list of iconic year-round brews, Follow the Sun distinguishes itself as a crisp, light lager that represents the easy-going lifestyle that SoCal offers. The beer is a light-bodied American lager with notes of crisp malt and a subtle hop bitterness that serves as a testament to KARL’s 35 years of high quality brewing. Follow the Sun’s launch is a catalyst for change in KARL’s packaging. Follow the Sun will be joined by Aurora Hoppyalis, Boat Shoes, and Tower X in 12oz cans this Spring.
